XL1 & Yamaha EMX68s
I have never needed to connect to a mixer or house sound system before. In agreeing to do a friend a favor (on very short notice), I now find myself shooting a bluegrass performance this Friday. He has a Yamaha EMX 68s mixer and I am clueless how to connect to it, but I’m ready to learn. I tried to connect from the mixer via the REC OUT with an RCA cable to my XL1, and it sounded terrible. It was way too loud and garbled. I adjusted the level down, but the sound quality was still bad. I reread the XL1 manuel, tried various options, but I must be missing a setting somewhere. I would appreciate suggestions to make this work. I am willing to purchase the proper cable to make the right connection, I just am clueless where to start. Thanks in advance for your help. Pat
