  XL1 number of CCD pixels

  I’m looking at the XL1 specs. In the image sensor part, it says “3CCD 1/3″ Pixel Shift (charge coupled device); 270,000 pixels (250,000 effective pixels.” Is that 270K pixels on each CCD or 270K total? thanks.
