xl h1 capture from settings.
I am trying to capture footage shot on the xl h1. I use fcp6, i am connected via firewire. I set the camera to VCR mode. I went into system menus and PLAYBACK STD… is blacked out. I can’t seem to get the camera to talk too FCP. I can see my footage in the view-finder on the camera. So i know its there… HELP

disconnect the firewire cable before making changes in the menue, then re-connect firewire.

Bill thank you. what settings do you set in the menu for capture?
Is that the color red you want to use?

I don’t own a XLH1, but I have a XHA1 & assume it’s the same or quite similar… On the A1 for playback standard it should be HDV if you’re capturing HDV.
