  • XH-A1s upgrade to include both NTSC and PAL frame rates

I’ve seen many sites offering the XH-A1s and it’s optional upgrade to include PAL frame rates as well as NTSC, however nobody names a price for such an upgrade. Is there anyone out there who knows the cost difference? Looks like these cameras have to be special ordered from the factory. Does this mean it has to be ordered directly from canon? B&H doesn’t seem to offer the option on their website. Any other idea where I should look?

I already have the XH-A1E (the PAL version minus the “s”). Is it possible to have this model upgraded at a Canon Service Center to have the 60i/30F,24F options added to it?

For this frame rate add-on mod for the XH series you have to send in your camera to Canon. I’ve heard the cost is $600-$700 US.

Thanks. I guess it’s cheaper than buying a new camera.
