April 18, 2008 at 3:00 pmThe Multibridge ECLIPSE costs quite a bit more than the Xena because it has many, many more audio channels.
A better comparison to Xena would be the Multibridge PRO which is feature for feature equivalent. However the Pro can work with either Mac OR PC operating systems. The Xena can only work with the PC operating system. Both Blackmagic and AJA systems are fine pieces of equipment.

I have lots of experience with AJA gear and can vouch for it without giving it a second thought.

April 28, 2008 at 12:57 pmI have a little bit of experience with both. They are both workable solutions, but the wonky engineer side of me would give AJA a slight edge; they seem to have a better concept of what a video signal should be.
I have no basis for this, but it seems like AJA is video engineers that started building computer gear; BMD is computer engineers that started building video gear.
But, to reiterate: they are both good capture/output devices.

April 29, 2008 at 4:26 pmHello Rafal
I am AJA’s rep in Europe.
If you would like to get some further product comparisons, pricing or be referred to some Polish dealers please contact me.
By the way, Xena is able to operate in the Mac and PC.
Best regards
