Xena LH does not detect video input
Hi,
I am new to the high definition video world, so please forgive my immense ignorance.
I bought a XenaLH and I am trying to test it with composite and component sources i have around (digital camera, dvd player) but no matter what I do, I keep getting “No video input is detected”
I can clearly seen the video input using a projector. The card reports back to the system that it is ok and “active”. I am using composite through the (green) “Y/CVSB In” cable. I have tried component as well with no luck.
Any ideas? Has anyone seen this behavior before?

Hi,
Are you using Machina for the capture, or another application? Have you checked the Video Input is set to composite or component?

Yes I am using Machina. I set the capture port manually in the setup tab (composite or component depending on the source being tested) these changes show up in the lower right corner of the capture tab (Xena status).
I honestly don’t know if the dvd player (component source) is betacam or SMTPE, but neither works.
The digital camera I’m using for composite uses NTSC. Still, no video detected on the PC side.
Any suggestions will be appreciated…

It is working now, it was a (non reported by windows) hardware conflict with another processing card in the system. For what is worth, forcing IRQ and(/or?) PCI speeds in the BIOS fixed the problem.
Having another issue now, I am trying to drop frames to disk. With my two source types (component/composite) I keep getting “This colorspace is not supported”, am I missing something trivial?
