We have two Kona-2 systems and one Kona LHe system. We use a pc for 3D, AE, and Combustion work. With the Xena card in the pc can you render directly out to a Kona compatible quicktime codec?… say a DVCProHD 720 file? And can you bring a qt file digitized or rendered via the Kona in to the Xena system seamlessly for AE work?

    Thanks!

quicktime yes, dvcpro HD, no. i was checking into this, you can easily do uncompressed 8 and 10 bit, HD and SD, but not the dvcpro HD codec. the lack of DVCPRO HD is across the board on any pc product, apple did the work on encoding for the mac platform only (and it works very well for them). so it will be seamless if you use uncompressed 8 bit 720 for example. you might want uncompressed or image sequences anyhow for combustion and AE.
