xdvf headaches & workflow question.
hi Gents,
a couple days ago I posted asking about whether I would be able to use files from Canon XF300, captured in FCPX, in Vegas. It was confirmed that because FCP captures as pro pres for optimized media, I would be
able to copy those files and open them in Vegas. However,
Although I did have ‘create optimized media’ checked, I may not have let it run long enough to actually create the files or something to that extent.
Now, I am in Vegas, and must have copied the wrong 16 gigs of video, as I have a bunch of .mov with the ‘xdvf’ format.
After searching for solutions, the only thing I can find is this https://www.calibratedsoftware.com/
I can’t afford the $150 they’re asking for this tool, and I don’t have access to the box I captured the media on.
Any suggestions on next steps (including free alternatives to this xdvf codec, possible programs that you’ve used to convert xdvf in the past etc etc).
For the record, the demo of the tool I linked to DOES work, but with water marks.
On a quick deadline and getting no where,
