XDCamEX PlugIn Problems
Hi
I have the following problem:
I want to link XDCam EX files via AMA to Avid.
Most of the time it gives me the error message in the source monitor: “Wrong format”.On one occassion though it worked for one file. Trying it again in other bin with the exact same file, the error appeared again.
So I compared both files and the one with the error shows under the column
AMAPlugin “Quicktime plugIn” and the one that worked showed “MVP_MSP_SonyXDCAMEX_64bit”.
Also the one with error gives me the info “MPEG-4” under the video column and the good file reads out the XDCAM EX Codec.I have a PC, Windows 8, Avid MC/Symphony 7.04 with latest AMA plugin.
Does anyone know what to do in this case or where to “change” the preferences of the PlugIn engine?

solved it…. user error 😉 didnt have the BPAV folder inother folder…

And don’t use Autodetect, it is very hit and miss. It will always try QT AMA if it can’t figure out and that is not always a good thing.
