  XDCAM Workflow.

  I have a few questions regarding some basic workflows i have been using with FCP 7 that could possibly work with FCPX…Though with all of the terrible reviews i don’t feel up to dropping $350 on some software to test out.

  1) Does compressor 4 still have the XDCAM HD codec? (I usually take RED files and convert them to the XDCAM HD 1080p24 codec and back it up to XDCAM disc).

  2) If i do convert the RED files into my XDCAM HD codec, from there would i even be able to go EXPORT -> Sony XDCAM Browser and spit that footage out to disc?
  I have read there’s no way of spitting anything out to tape, that’s fine, though we are using the XDCAM PDW-1U which uses USB rather than firewire.

  If anyone using FCPX could let me know if this is even possible i would greatly appreciate it.
