I have a XDCAM PMW-EX3 and a Datavideo SE-2000 video switcher. I see that both have SDI connectors. I would like to be able to use the XDCAM to send video in real-time to the switcher without recording on a card. Is this possible with this model XDCAM? Can you direct me to setup instructions? Thank you.

It’s pretty simple… Just connect a BNC cable between the SDI output of the camera and an SDI input on the switcher, turn on the camera, and it should work. Make sure that the Firewire/iLink output is turned off in the menu settings or the SDI output won’t work.

    Alan,
That was it. Once again shows me that I need to try it myself rather than accept someone else’s report that it didn’t work.
    Thanks again,
    Alan.
