XDCAM transfer from SxS card via OCI slot issue
Hi All
I’m using XDCAM transfer to import shots from SxS into FCP v7 but the transfer rate has suddenly slowed to a crawl. It occurs on a colleague laptop as well but never on mine until now – bit of a problem as we have to turn around our shots fairly quickly.
Does anyone know of a rogue setting that may have caused this issue

There’s no setting that would affect this with SxS. It’s probably a conflict with the PCI card. Try removing/reinstalling and reloading the driver. Otherwise take a look in the Activity Monitor to confirm where the system resources are being eaten up.. Also make sure that you have the latest version of the SxS driver and see if you can get any compatibility info from the manufacturer of the card..

Cracked it…knew it would be something daft and it was…having just rebuilt the Mac for a busy summer installed the SxS PRO driver and not the UDF which seems to have solved the problem
