XDCAM Transfer and Snow Leopard
Posted by Kevin Gragg on March 23, 2010 at 8:14 pmDoes anyone know when the “fully compatible with Snow Leopard” version of XDCAM Transfer will be released from Sony?

March 23, 2010 at 8:26 pmAccording to the release notes the FAM driver is still not supported in Snow Leopard. From what I understand 2.11 works with EX format but not the XDCAM disks which is what we use. Am I incorrect?

From what I have read, you’ll have to install version 2.5.1 first then upgrade to 2.11.0 and everything will work.
By the way, you did know that Sony stands for, Shipping October Next Year… or Soon Only Not Yet…

March 25, 2010 at 11:04 amCan anyone tell me why I can’t write back to a PDW U1 (with FAM 2.5.1) with Snow Leopard (using Transfer 2.10 or 2.11) but I can write back to a PDW700 camera?
Surely it’s the same protocol. My local Sony dealer can’t explain it but then again, they’re not really that interested either. SONY – Support Only Not Yet perhaps. 🙂
Cheers,
