2.11.0 has been released for some time now, and it works perfectly with Snow Leopard

According to the release notes the FAM driver is still not supported in Snow Leopard. From what I understand 2.11 works with EX format but not the XDCAM disks which is what we use. Am I incorrect?

    Well…

From what I have read, you’ll have to install version 2.5.1 first then upgrade to 2.11.0 and everything will work.

By the way, you did know that Sony stands for, Shipping October Next Year… or Soon Only Not Yet…

Works perfectly with XDcam discs, doesn’t support writeback to the U1

Can anyone tell me why I can’t write back to a PDW U1 (with FAM 2.5.1) with Snow Leopard (using Transfer 2.10 or 2.11) but I can write back to a PDW700 camera?

Surely it’s the same protocol. My local Sony dealer can’t explain it but then again, they’re not really that interested either. SONY – Support Only Not Yet perhaps. 🙂

    Cheers,
    Michael

somewhere in xdcam transfer you can see the status of your
codecs and one of the listings i believe is for the write-back
    to that drive.

see if its red or green.
