XDCAM transfer
why every time i transfer m files from the SXS cards to my hard drive through the XDCAM transfer, I get the source name as untitled? so all my clips would start with “untitled_clip name)?

In XDCAM Transfer look at Preferences Import tab and you’ll see “Filename” with various check boxes. If you click them on or off you can see a faint “Clip title.mov” change as you check the boxes. You can configure it so that it doesn’t use the parts of the name that aren’t useful. At the very least you could just have it use the name the camera names the clip.
If the SxS card name had not been titled (untitled) and you use the card name in the title (Add Source Name) it’ll show as “untitled” so that’s probably what’s happening. I try to name my cards to avoid that but if you reformat the card it reverts back to “untitled.” Organizationally, that’s one reason why I don’t like reformatting the cards all the time.
