When switching source I do get a message “Error Scanning Device”. After “OK” it will load the clips and I don’t see anything missing. To upload these clips into FCP7 I don’t use the XDCAM transfer but upload directly. Is the error massage important or am I missing a plug-in in XDCAM 2.12.0 transfer.
Apple MacBook Pro 15″+Ext monitor with FCP7 and EX3 is used. See the screen shot for the full error message.

try downloading the XDCAM codecs for Final Cut from the Sony website.

    Thanks for the suggestion
The clips do load into FCP without any errors I therefore imagine that the correct codecs are available. The error messages only pop up in XDCAM Transfer. The footage is visible and can be evaluated but when I save the changes it comes up with the second error message

The result of the problem is that when I make changes in clip evaluation in XDCAM Transfer I’m unable to save them and have to start all over next time around.
