I have a Sony EX1. I downloaded XDCAM transfer 2.10 and I am using Final Cut Pro 7.0. When my footage is recognized in XDCAM Transfer, it has gray bars through it. When I transfer the footage to .mov and work with it in FCP, there are no gray bars and the footage looks fine. When I try to export this footage out of FCP using quicktime conversion the gray bars reappear making my footage useless. What is happening? Thanks.

First you should be using XDCAM Transfer 2.11
Next you need to check and remove CalibratedSoftware’s EX MOV player plugin. It shouldn’t be on any current FCP system. It trial mode it creates gray bars.
