XDCAM SD slug is green

Francois Stark
September 7, 2007 at 7:10 amWhen I use XDCAM SD clips on a native XDCAM timeline (IMX 30mb/s), all the gaps on the timeline are green. Even when I dissolve a clip to a gap (IOW fade to black) – it fades to green! Placing a slug on the timeline – it’s green!
The only way I can get black on the timeline now is to create a color mat and change it to black! Years ago on the Cinewave card we also had some of the formats’ gaps turn green – it must be something in quicktime that turns green when the black is not properly defined…
Anybody else seen this?
Systems: We find this on G5 systems running FCP 5.1.2 or 5.1.4.
Thanks

trash prefs
create a new OSX user account and test in that new clean accountkind of a scatter approach but see if any one of those steps helps
