XDCAM -> SD DVD – chopped off curves, end result doesn’t look good!
I’m working with XDCAM 1920×1080 HD4221080p25 50mb/s, square pixels, fielddominance none, aspect ratio HDTV 1080i (16:9) – These settings are automatically chosen by FCP sequenses, when adding footage to a new sequence.
I export using compressor with these settings:

DVD Studio Pro meta-data enabledMy end result doesn’t look good. Curves look a bit “chopped off”… I’ve read in other posts, that applying 1-2% gaussian blur, might do the trick. Others say that setting frame control to ON is needed. Frame control ON I’ve tried (as seen above), with no luck, and I’d rather not apply gaussian blur. Anyone has got the answer to how I can make good looking m2v’s with my XDCam material!?
Thank you in advance.
