We are using the XDCAM proxy files for off-line, then importing the full-res files for making a consolidated sequence to take to on-line. When we try to import the hi-res files, we often get an error message re the timecode on the timeline being out of range of the code being read from the hi res file. I have made sure that “Import essence marks as locators” is checked in the XDCAM Tab of the Import settings, as suggested on the Avid forum, but this has not helped. Any suggestions other than what we are now doing, which is to batch digitise in real time to get the hi-res files?
