what is the best way to get xdcam 50mbs mov (from a nano Flash) into MC6. Isn’t xdcam native to avid so when i import shouldn’t all avid need to do is re wrap from MOV to MXF? i have 5 2.5 hourlong (concert footage) clips i want to multicam edit. when i do a import to a DNxHD codec it takes forever to transcode i am hoping to speed up the process.

    Avid Beginner Thanks

Iam not 100% sure.. but i think you will need the AMA Plugin from Sony.

But it says: “Coming soon from Sony – check Sony’s website for updates”
    Hope it helps!

    cheers

Mike, did you get this figured out? I am in the same exact boat this week. Hours of XDCAM 50 to ingest. AMA and transcoding is taking forever. Today I am going to try and “fast import” and see what happens.
