XDCAM Log and Transfer on Intel MacBook Pro
Posted by Ken Slater on August 30, 2011 at 5:38 pmJust got new MacBook Pro. XDCAM log and transfer v2_7_1 used on my mac pro isn’t working. Do you need an XDCAM driver to make this work on MacBook Pro?

August 30, 2011 at 9:17 pmThen yes, there’s some drivers and downloads for XDcam.
I think the current version is 2.12. You have 2.7.1?

August 30, 2011 at 9:52 pminfo comes up with the version on the XDCAM transfer app that I am using on my mac pro as 2.7.1. I tried 2.12 first on the macbook and had the same non function. I was just wondering if a macbook needs another driver or something else for quicktime.
Thanks for you help!

August 30, 2011 at 10:12 pmI think we are talking about two different things.
Theres log and transfer, and XDCam Transfer.
Log and transfer is v1.2. XDCam transfer is 2.12.
I guess I’m confused by your version number but the log and transfer plug is here:

That was it. Log & Transfer – not just transfer. The Sony details about what the software does is a bit sketchy esp. on their Canadian website. The main Sony link you gave me is down until Sept 6 so I had to find the version using Google – found it on their Canadian site.
