XDCAM into Avid Media Composer 5.5
Hello all – I’ve got an issue that I need to resolve as soon as possible.
I downloaded a trial version of Media Composer 5.5 on my intel Mac in order to turn around a quick project from home. I work in MC 5.5 every day on a PC at work, and brought home a PDW-U10 XDCAM transfer drive (USB) so I could import media. When I go to import, the file structure is broken down into separate audio and video clips and I can’t import the high-res as I am able to on the PC. What plugins, drivers or XDCAM software am I missing to make this happen?

Have you downloaded the XDCAM AMA Plugins for 5.5?
With v 5.5.x, you need to download the AMA plugins separately. This allows Avid to make updates to the plugins without the end user having to download a new Media Composer installer.
