XDCAM import question
I have FCS 6.0.6 on a Macbook Pro with 3GB of RAM. When I try to import XDCAM footage, I do not get the XDCAM import option…all I get are Batch List, EDL, Cinema Tools and XML. On my Mac Pro I clearly have XDCAM options and it’s the same version. Any ideas?

Have installed the Sony Transfer software from Sony?

You need both Sony XDCam Browser as well as XDCam Transfer and the drivers at https://www.sony.ca/xdcamex/software.htm and use Transfer for getting it all into FCP, but Browser I use for bringing the cards into their own folders in a manner whereby I do not overwrite a BPAV folder.
