  XDCAM HD 50Mbs 422 import

  Hello

  In the past I have been able to import XDCAM HD 35Mbs MXF files directly into After Effects. I’ve recently shot some video on the newer PDW-700 XDCAM HD camera using the 50Mbs 4:2:2 codec but I am unable to import these MXF files into After Effects CS4.

  My question is it possible just now to do this? I think it could be an update is required and I need to be patient. In the meantime I notice that the 50mbs 4:2:2 codec works no problem in Apple’s ‘Motion 3’ so I may have to do the project in that software.

  I would prefer to work in After Effects so I’m hoping the import issue is something I’m doing wrong and not a limitation of the current software. Either way it would be good to get a definitive answer on whether the 50Mbs MXF files can or cannot be imported into CS4.
