  • XDCAM HD 422 1080i50 clip gets out of sync once imported to Final Cut 7

    Hello all,

I have received some clips in MXF format and after I import the clips and bring them to Final Cut 7 the audio appear out of sync and chopped.
The process I am used to do is to import the MXFs through XDCAM Transfer, and when I play the clips there they sound normal. Also, the imported .mov files sound ok when listening through Quicktime or simply with the Finder’s preview (space bar).

I have heard that there was a bug, which I never seen, that would make your audio out of sync if your Capture Settings were set to 44.1 kHz even though the timeline and clip was 48 kHz. I have checked the Capture presets, timeline audio settings and the clip’s audio rate and they are all set to 48 kHz.

Any idea on what is causing this problem and how to solve it?

    Thank you all in advance.

    Best,
    Miguel Ribeiro.
