Posted by Bill Paris on October 1, 2010 at 10:58 pm

Working on a one hour doc. where a outside shooter sent some XDCAM files (not XDCAM EX) on a thumb drive. FCP Log and transfer will not recognize these files. I get the error message:

“XDCAM Files” contains unsupported media or has an invalid directory structure. Please choose a folder whose directory structure matches supported media.

I have the latest XDCAM EX drivers …. any ideas?

    Thanks!

    My setup:
    Intel Dual quad core intel
    10 gb ram
    Kona 3
    FCP 7.02

    Jason,

I’m using the XDCAM transfer program and it’s working. Thanks for the input!

Hiya are you looking at the BPAV folder with the sony xdcam log and transfer software.

did you down load the SXS card reader software but beware I installed it and then had to remove from my 15″ unibody mac 254 processor as it slowed everything down so much. but the log and transfer works now on fcp7.0

    hope this helps
