XDCAM Explorer gives error when trying to find files on HDD
used the Sony Clipbrowser to transfer the files, which are accessible via normal explorer as mxf files, and work fine on the timeline
why won’t the XDCAM explorer see the original BPAV stuff, though? Gives error along the lines of “cannot proceed” or something.

Because of the way the files are wrapped. had the SDK been available to everyone when the EX was launched, then perhaps Vegas could have read the files. But that wasn’t the case.
Re-wrap doesn’t add any time to the mix, it merely means you can’t edit off the card in Vegas right now.Douglas Spotted Eagle
