  XDCAM EX3 and AVID

  I am looking into shooting on an XDCAM EX3 1080p and taking in the footage Via AMA into a DX Nitrus MC3.5.
  i was going to keep the whole thing Native from the camera and layoff to an HDcam recorder when finished.

  Now does anyone have any experience of doing this or similar and what known bugs can i expect.

  I know that the EX uses Long GOP compression and i know from using HDV that it needs to be transcoded first before laying it off and wondered if i would have to do the same. (although that was laying back to HDV)

  Also i was looking into working in an Offline res but as it is only 35Mbps to start with it does not seem any point, would people agree.

  All and any suggestions welcome
