Kia ora, I’ve recently purchased a 2nd hand Sony EX1 and it has a function to drop “shot markers” while shooting. I can see this being a very handy feature. However when I try to pull the recorded clips into Davinci Resolve, I see no markers. I downloaded Sony’s Catalyst Browser software, and I can see the markers, but even exporting various codecs from there and dropping them into Davinci, I still get nothing. What am I doing wrong? I’ll also post this in the Sony Cameras forum.

Hey Rohan, as far as I know those markers are stored as exif metadata in the XML of the clip. Thus, DaVinci is not able to read them. What you could do is not the timestamps for the markers and later add them into DaVinci manually.

Thanks Riccardo. That’s frustrating that there is not automatic way, but yes, I’ll do that manual workaround. Cheers!
