I know I can’t use the native XDCAM EX files until Sony releases the right software. But I was able to to convert the files to .MOVs and import them into FCP X. The problem is that all of the clips have a greenish color shift whenever I play them out in the timeline or viewer. The green shifts in and out as I play the clips. Is anyone else having this problem? Do you know if it’s a simply a playback issue or if it’s an actual issue with the clips? I haven’t tried exporting the project to see if the shifts remain. Thanks.

Trying to work out the kinks of the software to see if it could ever be useful in our workflow.

I worked with some XDCAM Ex files in FCP X over the weekend. No weird gamma shifts for me.

See if the corruption gets exported with the final video to ascertain if it is some sort of FCP X bug. I think that FCP X is actually BETA software that these morons have managed to sell in the absence of Steve.

    Check preferences.

There’s a low qual/high qual setting for preview. HIgh Quality fixes weirdness with XDCAM, but might slow down your editing. When I use my GT120 card, high qual bogs. GTX285 can do high qual without a pause.

Export outputs are always “HIgh Quality” without any problems, in my experiments.
