XDCAM EX and Premiere Pro nightmare

Yes…I wasn’t questioning whether you had a legit version of PPro.

I can’t remember what may have been a little wonky in CS5’s early release days, but I know the updates came fast and furious for a bit there…maybe the app needs those?

I would try to just reinstall PPro.

Also…you don’t have any freeware codec packs installed on that system I hope…some of those definitely screw up Adobe’s codecs, and that would definitely be something to avoid.

It sounds like the media is at least complete. You could download Sony’s XDcamEX Browser (it’s free to download…just google it at sony.com) and take a look at the media that way and see if it seems happy…
