  XDCam Codecs

  Hello.

  I have a brand new Mac Pro 5,1 system that runs FCP, Premiere CS5, and Avid 5.something. Calibrated makes a XD Decode for QuickTime files (and HDV files), but they say that you do not need it if you have Final Cut installed on your computer, so, I do not need it to export XDCam footage straight off of my computer (XDCam 50 MBPS HD). Normally I would need the decoder because of Long GOP settings.

  I am getting 2 new systems where I will not be installing FCP. Are there any XDCam codecs that Premiere installs natively where I wouldn’t need XD Decode? Or do I have to get it to be able to view this video?
