    Hi All
I love the COW, I am at present trying to set up my apple laptop to work as a freelance video editor, and I would like to find out what software I would need to install to use devices such as XDCAM and P2, as this is what the broadcaster here uses, and I am a freelancer there, mainly doing the audio side, but I have told them I have FCP and I just need to know what versions of XDCAM and P2 software drivers updates I would need to install in order to work with the camera’s and disks.

    Thanks so much..

First off, here is the tapeless workflow for FCP. You must know this…

Tapeless Workflow for FCP 7 Tutorial

I have links on there for P2 drivers and software and XDCAM software and drivers. XDCAM can be imported via FCP’s log and transfer like I talk about in the tutorial, or via external Sony software called the Clip Browser.

The only thing I’d add to Shane’s post is that Sony also have a driver/utility for you to read their SxS cards in your Expresscard34 slot.
