    Hi…
I have a shoot with our new PDW 700 in a few days… I have been trying to setup a few things on the camera that i am not happy with- never had to do any of this to be honest- usually a tech would.

I just can’t seem to nail what i am looking to do.

The pics, particularly on a wide shot look very “buzzy” in high detail areas such as floor tile edges and fencing and grass. I have dumbed back the detail (-20) and it helps a fair bit but any more detail out and the whole image is too soft.

BUt yeah even straight edges, anything, fences, stairs, doorways etc look jagged and buzzy… always on the wide shots but not on a tight shot on the edge itself. I couldnt find anything that remotely said edge detail in the menus so I am lost now!

Also finding on a downconvert to SD there is an overall jitter to the pics… I am downconverting in avid to 25i and obviously shooting in 1080i.

I have a headache!!! any help would be muchly appreciated.

    Dale
