  xdcam 335 soft image? with video

  We are shooting on a xdcam 335 with a fujinon HS18x5.5 BERM-M38 lens. We are experiencing a drastic softening of the image when irising down a step or two. Here is a link (https://www.vimeo.com/4151313) to video that shows our typical experience. Watch the rocks on the right. It will be more noticeable if you download the file. I expect the image to change but it seems to soften up a lot. What do you think?
