  • XD Cam Transfer Update 2.5.1/Fixes Clock timecode issues for Final Cut

Doug Jensen (Vortex Media) emailed me this link this morning, I tested it with files I had issues with and it fixes the Clock timecode problem.

<https://www.sony.ca/xdcamex/software.htm> <https://www.sony.ca/xdcamex/software.htm> 4. Bug Fix: This version enables XDCAM EX clips which were shot with timecode mode set to CLOCK to be recognized
and imported into Final Cut Pro. In previous versions, XDCAM Transfer would display the error message:
“Error There is no timecode calculator in timecode track builder”.

I had emailed Doug after purchasing the informative Vortex Media DVD “Mastering the Sony PMW-EX1” with concerns to his direction to the time code settings with use of the Clock setting. He knew of this issue but trusted that Sony was going to fix it soon and respectfully passed on this information as soon as it was available. Thanks Doug………..

Interesting that it’s not up on the Sony USA site.
Where are you seeing the bug fix list that you’re getting 4) from? I don’t see any numbers in the Notes and Limitations list.
