I have a client who wants to shoot with my XD Cam EX1 and they use Premiere Pro on a PC. Is this possible or do I need to convert the files somehow? I use FCS2 6.0.2 and I have a Mac version of CS3, I can play the files in either mp4 or the .mov. I found no sound on the mp4 files and the .mov played fine. My client is worried about his PC version not having the same results.

    Thanks in advance

I had to deal with some XDCam files in Premier for a job. I purchased the MainConcept HD 3 package, which includes an XDCam codec. As I only was doing VFX on clips, I did not check to see how metadata (timecode, etc.) was handled. They do have a free demo.

Does it really take a $449.00 plugin to use the XD Cam EX1 files with Premiere? I will see if my free XD Cam Transfer software for Final Cut that makes .mov files a try first.
    Thanks for the help.
