I’ve been learning FCP X and while it’s growing on me, I really miss the ability to apply FX at the track level and the audio capabilities like buses. Why would Vegas be better for this project for you? (just curious)

Hi John, and thank you again for your help. First off… I’m very fluent and fast with Vegas as I’ve been using it since it’s first incarnation mainly for audio. Video was second for me. Our show on AXS is a music artist type show. I’m the audio supervisor for the show and recently we’ve started editing the show as well to have more creative control. Our workflow is that we shoot all the packaged segments, edit them and then shoot our live artist performances and couch interviews at the AXS studios. So now they are giving us those live to tape segments and we are doing more of a simple “assembly” just tightening things up but I’m really able to manipulate the audio very quickly and easily with great results as Vegas as you know excels at that. Our show is called “Skee Live” and is on Fridays at 5pm est/8pm pst on AXS TV. It’s on all the major carriers ATT/DIsh/Direct/Verizon. I’d love for you to take a look and see what we are doing with Vegas, thanks to you! 😉

Ohhhh, and I almost forgot, all my instances of Vegas are running on Boot Camp…. Mac Pro, Mac Mini, iMac, Macbook Pro

Yea, I hear yea. That’s one reason that I won’t leave Vegas Pro. The audio capabilities are better than anything else out there.

I will definitely look for it in my cable line-up because I have Verizon.

You sound like me. I have a Mac Mini for audio work, a Mac Pro for heavy video editing, and a MacBook Pro for everything else along with my iPad (but no bootcamp on the iPad lol!).
