How about making your object editable first?

I have tried that, by pushing C, which creates a null, with each individual spline within an extrude nurb beneath it.

Then I used the xbreaker script both on the null, and on the individual splines and it still did not work.

You have to carry on down and make all of those editable too. Do that until you’re left with only actual polygon objects. Then you’ll probably want to use the connect and delete function so that it’s all one piece. Then run XBreaker on that.
