    Hi
    I love this site!
    I’m a mum & am a ‘closet’ computer lover.
Trying to help my 14 year old who is becoming increasingly frustrated with this problem.
We bought a pinnacle dazzle dvc100? thinking we could capture using this.
It would only capture b&w. The only way my son could capture colour was to change an xbox setting from (60 to 30?) and then it captured in colour but apparently COD can’t play in (30?) so he cchanged it back to 60.
Now we are at square one,all black and white again.

It’s been recommended to get a Hauppage pvr and when I can afford it I will HOWEVER, I can’t help thinking this is just some silly setting problem.

Alternatively, we have an old Sony dvd recorder that’s sd and can’t get all the tv stations anymore(australia) so logic tells me I should be able to use that? I guess it would be xbox into tv/av, but then how do I get the dvd recorder to record that same tv/av? there’s no tv/av OUT but there is tv out.

I’m confused and my son is frustrated, not a good combination!
    Thanks in advance

[Amanda Duff] “I can’t help thinking this is just some silly setting problem.”

It may just be a limitation of the Pinnacle Dazzle DVC100.

    When you say:

“…change an xbox setting from (60 to 30?)”

What does that mean? If it’s 60fps to 30fps that makes sense since the Dazzle DVC100 is designed to capture 30fps video from VHS tapes and DVD’s.
