    XAVC import

    Hi everyone..
    I just purchased the Sony F5 . The codec is Xavc .. I know that media 100 will not import .. But I am converting to ProRes and then importing.. For some reason .. Media100 is importing as 1080i instead of 1080p I Mac shooting 29.97.. Any suggestions .. Or ideas.. Wish there was a way to go in XAVC..

    How are you converting into ProRes? In the ProRes codec, there is a flag for interlaced/progressive. So the software doing the conversion writes the files as ProRes interlaced, which gets read by Media 100. You should check the settings of your conversion software.

    Using a software called ideal share.. Seems to work fine .. But when I import ..it is 1080i. If I change the import settings in M_100 to use media standard .. It rendered the file to progressive .. But with blacks crushed and gamma down.

    The 1080i file plays fine and looks good on a 1080p timeline .. But is awkward workflow with the processor switching between interlaced and progressive between the bin and timeline each time..

    Need to find a way to convert the XVAC to ProRes that M100 will except 29.97p.
