X2Pro Audio Convert-Discussion
Just wanted to get a discussion going on X2Pro (https://www.x2pro.net/).
So far so good for me here going from FCP X to ProTools 9. I am still scanning through the edits to see if there’s any discrepancies, but our ProTools guy seems pretty satisfied so far as well.
Please post your findings so if thee are issues we can troubleshoot together and help make it better.
I also tried going using 7toX, then X2Pro – also did well. I need to test with more complex edits perhaps.

x2pro works really well in my experience and really changes the FCPX landscape. This was a really crucial missing function and the guys at Marquis have taken care to get it right.
Just a few things to be aware of.
The lack of a consolidate feature in the current version means your AAF can easily turn out huge – just be conscious of the fact that all your audio source material will be copied into the AAF, which will be time-consuming and space-consuming. However, this is being addressed apparently and should make its appearance reasonably soon, I hope.
Also volume and pan are not supported but will be soon.
Finally, note that if you use a multi-track audio source, all the tracks from that source will come through even if you’ve only chosen to edit with one or two of them.
PS. I have heard that there may be issues with x2pro running out of memory but I have not experienced this.
Make sure you send your feedback in to the vendors so they can make this product as good as you want it to be. From a couple of conversations with them, they are really committed to making this work.
