x264 avi file not showing any video track
When recording with Dxtory using the x264vfw codec and the following settings ( https://easycaptu.re/u92Gb.png ), the .avi video plays fine in Windows Media Player and VLC, but when imported into After Effects, it shows up as an audio-only file (it shows no video – https://easycaptu.re/AsuJ5.png ).
Does anyone know a fix for this?

Yeah. Record with a format that professional video programs support.

dxtory is a bugger really because it only supports the AVI container, you need to change the container because programs really only support h264 in an MP4 container
It’s easily done with AviDemux
