    Hi all,
I have particles emitting from a texture on a plane and then after a few seconds of turbulence, returning to the same texture and plane using a xpCover modifier.
The texture is a photograph so when the emission begins it appears that the photograph is turning into particles. However, when the particles return to the texture when the cover modifier is activated (I would like the photograph to ‘reform’ out of the turbulence), they stick in random positions and the photograph is not identifiable.
Is there any way to have the particles return to the original emission position? Or is there another set up more suited to this effect? I’m fairly new to X-Particles so any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Many thanks,
    Phil

I think what you’re looking for is the xpRewind modifier. Check the associated video for an explanation of how it works, but note that in the most recent release the emitter’s “Rewind Data” option has been moved from the Advanced tab to the Extended Data tab.
