X-Particles, Bug Swarm, Help
I’m hoping I can get some help relating to x-particles in Cinema4D.
I have an emitter emitting a big swarm of bugs (I’ve got some nice flock dynamics working so the swarm is moving all cool like :p) each bug (particle) is an instance of animated geometry inside an xp-generator. The bugs fly in from the left, land on a surface, stay idle for a moment, and then continue to fly off and exit on the right.
What I’m struggling with is when they land on the surface and stay idle for a moment – I want the bugs to stop flapping their wings (this is the animated geometry in the xp-generator). And then start flapping their wings again when they fly off leaving the surface.
Ideally I want the particle to recognise when it’s landed on the surface and then stop the flapping wing animation.
Any help is greatly appreciated! I’m sure there’s some x-particles expert out there that knows how to do this! 🙂
