Hi guys, i’m having a frustrating problem with Vegas at the moment, one that i have not experienced before.

Basically, i haven’t used Vegas in a while (month or so) so cannot pin point when exactly this problem had started, i only noticed it yesterday. What the problem is exactly is that all colours in certain media generators are coming out as different colours to what they should do.

    So, for instance:

When i use the ‘Lava’ effect, instead of getting orange and yellow, i get dark blue and light blue. When i use ‘chalk scribbles’, instead of getting that pinky colour, i get purple (the black stays true). When i use ‘microscopic threads 1’, instead of getting blue and green (i think) i’m getting yellow and very light green. And so on…

I tried to correct the colours through the generated media tab, but no success.

I only noticed this problem yesterday when i loaded a old project of mine and the ‘soft clouds’ effect i have (which i changed to red) were blue. The blue that was now displaying at times flickered back to the red it should be but only in flickers.

In video effects, as far as i can tell (i cannot say i have thoroughly checked all effects) most seem to be ok. One effect that does seem to have a problem is colour curves. The problem with this effect is that, when using one of the effects on first go, it seems to work ok, it displays correctly. But then, when i try a different effect, it comes out as the same as it’s predecessor, for example:

If i use ‘Night’. it comes out as Night, if i then remove Night and use infrared, it comes out as night again. This problem only stops if i minimize the window and then maximize it again. After i do that i can use another effect and it will display as that effect.

Does anyone have any idea on what the problem could be? It’s beyond me,i have no idea.

Try reinstalling Vegas, actually download and try
    the latest build (version).

Sorry to keep adding info in each post, but i keep remembering new info.

About a week or 2 ago i downloaded a new graphics card driver update (amd catalyst 12.10) through catalyst control centre control panel. Could this be the problem? I have thought about uninstalling and reinstalling but i’m not quite sure how. I’ve tried to find the software on their site too but no luck.
