Writing Rough Guide to DSLR, what do you think
Hi. Writing a beginners guide to DSLR video, draft is up at https://www.icontactvideo.org/rought-guide_dslr_video. Probably lots of grammar and spelling mistakes (I am dyslexic) but if you can put that aside what do you think. Still a couple of sections to do but mostly there.
All feedback appreciated. I do have a few specific questions.
1) What is the sound recording like on the Panasonic. On the Canon the pre-amps are shocking. It is corporate video level, I assume it and usable for broadcast.
2) is there a max clip length on the Panasonic like there is for the Canon (i.e. 12 mins).
3) What else HDSLRs are worth considering (apart from Panasonic and canon.

Audio on the Panasonic GH2 is very usable. I typically run a mic into a JuicedLink DT454 then out into the GH2 for recording. I have the GH2’s audio gain on the lowest setting and let the JuicedLink’s wonderful preamps do most of the work.
The GH2 has no record time limitation. I ran a 16GB card all the way through ––that’s 1.5 hours of video. The camera was barely warm to the touch.
