  • writing “clickable” web site addresses on emails?

Posted by Zeynep on June 9, 2005 at 4:07 pm

Hi! I’m struggling with a silly problem! I like to send an email with a website address on it. I’m using Entourage (mac) for my emails. Does anyone know what to do to make the web site address so that one can click on it in the actual email, without having to copy&paste it on the address bar?
    I appreciate your help.

    hello…

you can send html-formatted emails, however most email clients these days properly find and automatically convert html links to clickable links even in plain text mails…

    hello…

i don’t think you need to worry about formatting emails as html – if you put a plain text link in, most email clients will see it and automatically turn it into a link for the user…

try it there to see – just send yourself a plain email with a proper email (including the protocol – so like https://creativecow.net) and you should have it already formatted as clickable when you open it in your inbox…
