In Ahorn’s tutorial, “animating a signature” he is tracing an image. Is there a quicker and more accurate way if you are using a font. Is that the Difference in using “write on” vs. “Stroke”

Stroke applies a line to a mask, making it visible.

There is no information contained in a font that will allow us to write it on. We have to do it manually.

In “how to make vines grow” the Stroke effect is used. You’d have to design the mask and how the words appear, but since it only reveals what is below it, it will be the font you choose.
