write on effect
Anyone know of an effect that can be used to write on a layer, but the brush position can be accesed by expressions? Many paint type effects operate by painting on unclosed masks and this won’t work for me.

I’ve tried that and all I get are pasted masks. The path wont copy into the position param. What am I messing up here?

Try to set the position property to animate click the stop watch, select the position and then paste.
